One Up Physical Therapy

Dr. Aimiosinor Igetei did not stumble into physical therapy. She chose it deliberately, driven by a belief that movement is medicine and that every patient deserves more than a rushed appointment and a generic home exercise printout. After earning her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and Public Health with Honors from Rutgers University in 2014, she went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Columbia University in 2018. What she gained from those programs went beyond clinical knowledge. It shaped a deep respect for how complex each person’s condition, goals, and recovery journey can be. Over the past ten years, Dr. Aimi has worked across some of the most demanding areas of physical therapy: orthopedics, sport rehabilitation, neurological and vestibular rehab, and cardiopulmonary recovery. She has worked with professional athletes and first-time patients with post-surgical cases and chronic pain that had gone unaddressed for years. Each experience sharpened her ability to look past the diagnosis on paper and understand the person behind it.
